At Well Minded Path Counseling, I provide trauma-informed couples and individual therapy in Irvine and Tustin, CA. My work integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), EMDR, and attachment-based approaches to help adults and couples strengthen emotional connection, heal from past experiences, and navigate life transitions with greater clarity and resilience.

Individual therapy offers a space to slow down and gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we work to better understand emotional patterns, thought processes, and past experiences that continue to shape how you relate to yourself and others.

My approach is emotionally focused, trauma-informed, and integrative, drawing from EFT, EMDR, attachment-based, cognitive, and somatic perspectives. We pay attention not only to insight, but also to how your body and nervous system respond to stress, relationships, and change.

Individual therapy may be helpful if you are:

  • Experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm

  • Navigating trauma or difficult life transitions

  • Struggling with self-criticism, people-pleasing, or feeling “stuck”

  • Wanting a deeper understanding of your emotions and needs

  • Seeking greater alignment between your inner world and how you live your life

For clients who find it meaningful, I also welcome a spiritual or faith-informed lens, always guided by your values and beliefs.

Individual therapy is available in person, online, or in a hybrid format, offering flexibility for busy or changing schedules.

Individual Therapy for Anxiety & Life Transitions in Irvine & Tustin

Inside-Out Healing

Couples Therapy in Irvine & Tustin (Emotionally Focused Therapy)

Outside-In Healing

Couples therapy focuses on what happens between you—the patterns, cycles, and emotional moments that shape your relationship. Many couples I work with are navigating early marriage, fertility challenges, or major life transitions, and seek therapy not because they don’t care, but because they feel stuck in recurring conflicts, emotional distance, or misunderstandings that are hard to break on their own.

My work with couples is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach widely used in couples therapy to help partners understand the emotional needs and fears driving their interactions. Rather than focusing on blame or communication “skills” alone, we slow things down and work with the emotional and relational patterns that keep you disconnected.

Couples therapy may be helpful if you are:

  • Feeling emotionally distant, disconnected, or misunderstood

  • Caught in repeated arguments or negative cycles

  • Navigating trust issues, resentment, or unresolved hurts

  • Adjusting to life transitions, stress, or cultural differences

  • Wanting to strengthen emotional safety and closeness

I have a particular sensitivity to interracial and multicultural couples, and I approach therapy with cultural awareness, curiosity, and respect for each partner’s background and experience.

Couples sessions are offered in person or online, depending on your needs and preferences.

Trauma can show up in many ways — anxiety, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting, feeling disconnected, or staying in “survival mode” even when life feels stable on the outside. I provide trauma-informed therapy in person in Irvine and Tustin, CA and over internet across California using EMDR, attachment-based approaches, and nervous system regulation to help clients process past experiences in a safe, gradual, and supportive way. This work focuses on building emotional safety, restoring resilience, and helping you feel more grounded in your daily life and relationships.

My approach to trauma therapy is collaborative and paced according to each client’s readiness. Rather than rushing into painful memories, we focus first on strengthening internal resources, emotional regulation, and a sense of stability. Many clients find that this gentle, integrative approach helps reduce reactivity, improve self-compassion, and support long-term healing.

Trauma therapy may be helpful if you are experiencing:

  • Ongoing anxiety or hypervigilance

  • Difficulty feeling emotionally safe in relationships

  • Lingering effects of childhood, medical, or relational trauma

  • Emotional numbness or shutdown

  • Feeling “stuck” despite insight and effort
